A Busy July For The Squadron

The Squadron has had a really busy month which started with some cadets attending a Wing Shoot at DCAE Cosford on the 1st of July. They then followed this up with a visit to the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford on the 8th.

Cadets then were asked to take part in the Queens visit to Worcester on the 11th by lining the city streets.

On Sunday 15th July Cadets, Parents and staff helped to raise money for the Squadron by completing a walk from Stourport to the Wyre Forest. The event finished with a Barbeque held at the visitors centre.

Tuesday 17th saw the cadets attend Wychavon District Council’s Civic centre here they performed a drill sequence and complete a band performance for the Councillors. After attending a buffet the cadets were presented with a certificate for their achievements by Wychavon’s Chairman Councillor Richard Morris.

The cadet marching band then opened the Community Games 2012 at Brickfields Park in Worcester on Friday 27th to help celebrate the start of the Olympics.
On Sunday the 29th 6 cadets from the Squadron have set out on their Gold D of E expedition to the Peak District. They will spend 5 days camping out and navigating round this beautiful area all with the aim of completing their Gold Award.
